Big Brother Watch Party - July 24th 2024

 And the season continues...

We get the usual recap...it's all very dramatic.

Angela picked the three people she feels didn't have many friends...that makes her a bully, doesn't it?

Kenney is her main target, however, because the old guy is such a fierce competitor...I don't see it.  The old dude won't be able to bond so easily with the young guys and girls.  The generation gap is real!

So many week 1 tears.  They are sooo emotionally fragile. 

I'm not sure telling Lisa that she's NOT A THREAT is going to improve Angela's relationship with her.  You're weak and I nominated you, let's be friends!!!!  YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Angela is now mad at Matt because he didn't hug her.  Are we sure Angela is really the mature adult mom that she claims to be?

Matt and Makensy are getting flirty...  It's not a Showmance.  It's a Vibe.

Am I pretty, because I can talk?

Matt, Makensy and Lea are all becoming buds.  Makensy trusts them "alot".  That will probably last about 3 days.  It took Makensy 24 hours longer than Quinn to spill the beans on her power.  CIA, please note, NONE OF THESE PEOPLE CAN BE TRUSTED WITH SECRETS!

Alliances of three popping up everywhere.  Joseph, T'Korr and Cedric are solid.  They decide to bring in three or four more people to create THE COLLECTIVE.  [Horrible name.  Seems dystopian.]

An alliance of three is too small to be of much use at this point.  On the other hand, an alliance of seven or eight just can't last.

Angela calls Matt "Casanova Crazy Eyes" in a diary room.  I LOVE that nickname.

Angela thinks the Collective is a hoax perpetrated on her.  C'mon Angela, these people are neither that clever or that sneaky.

Angela thinks the ENTIRE HOUSE IS AGAINST HER!  She's launching Operation Crucify Crazy Eyes...never have so many sacrificed so much...for absolutely nothing.

Angela comes down the stairs and immediately says, "Matt, Matt, Matt, you must be so proud of yourself..."  Then she calls him "crazy eyes" to his face.

Angela then goes on to accuse Quinn and the gang of giving a 3rd rate film performance in her HOH room.  She really has overthought The Collective.

After calling them all liars, she says she wants to be friends with everyone but Matt.  That should go well.

Matt tries to respond.  Angela shouts him down and says she's too mature to have a conversation with him.

Matt says it isn't true.  Mom Angela calls Matt stupid.

This is one of the biggest meltdowns in BB history.

Mature Mom Angela tells Matt to put his shit words back in his ass.  I'm pretty sure she's been thrown out of the PTA.

Joseph is "not sure" he can work with Angela.  Really, you're not sure that Psycho Mom is an asset?

Matt doesn't get picked for the Veto comp.  Lisa had a "choice" but didn't want to get into the drama.

Matt is now crying because his mom saw that.  Kenney has to explain to the emotionally unequipped Matt that his mom is not going to be swayed by Psycho Mom since Matt's mom has known him his whole life.  Nonetheless, Matt gives a heartbreakingly tear-filled diary room talking directly to his mom.

I'm increasingly appreciating the emotionally reserved houseguests.

It's the old BB "Spelling Bee" - spell the longest word correctly and you win.

Angela still planning a Matt backdoor.  What's a little odd about that is she was also convinced that everyone likes Matt and she can't guarantee he'd go home, especially with three nominees

There's also three "delete" tiles that allows a player to delete a letter for everyone.

Kenney deletes "E" which is a common letter.

Lisa deletes "H" for no apparent reason.

Angela fails to buss in.  She's out.

Joseph mistakes a "Z" for an "N"

Kimo uses "E" and is eliminated.

Kenney spells "Camping"

Lisa spells "transform"

Brooklyn spells "Flocks".

LISA WINS!!!  That almost guarantees a Matt renomination.

Matt knows he's going up.  He and Makensy discuss whether she should use her America's Veto.  Based on the time, I'm guessing she didn't.

Time for the Veto Meeting.  Lisa takes herself down.  Angela, in a shocking move, nominates Matt.
