Big Brother Watch Party - July 31st 2024

 Last day of July...

Angela, Angela, Angela...GROW THE HELL UP!

Lisa, Angela and Kenney are on the block because "they are the people the house cares about the least."  Ouch, that hurts.

Lisa is a salmon swimming upstream. She's not surprised to be on the block.

Kenney feels good because he's up against two hated people in Lisa and Angela.

Angela feels she got nominated because it was easy.  She admits to getting a little "cray, cray" in the house.  But she's going to get the veto...or so she says.

Makensy wants payback and wants Angela gone.

On a side note, I saw an interview with Matt where he said he's waiting for Makensy to get out of the house so he can maybe continue his journey with her.  I'm cheering for those crazy kids.

Tucker can't remember the name of his alliance ("The Andersons") with Quinn and two others.  Of course, Quinn has like three other alliances.  At some point, this is likely to blow up on him.  He claims that "the Visionaries" are the only alliance he's actually honest with.  He anticipates that it could blow up on him at some point.

Lisa is telling Chelsie that she's going to win the veto and she's super positive.  Chelsie takes it as evidence that Lisa is a bigger threat than the other two.  Lisa thanks Chelsie for the "incredibly transparent" conversation where Chelsie constantly lied to her.  ;)

They form another Cookout alliance but want to make sure that people don't think they have a Cookout alliance...and in the diary room, she actually claims it's not an official alliance.  WTF?!?!?

Quinn calls Angela an "alliance destroyer" and he needs to manage her before she blows him up.

Quinn gives T'Korr a heads up about what Angela is saying about the non-Cookout non-Alliance.

It's time for the veto:  Joseph and Brooklyn get picked.  Brooklyn for the second week in a row.

They have to build a tower out of "ones and zeros", call it circles and rectangles.  They are all dressed like some insulting stereotype of computer programmers with "flood pants", bow ties and propeller caps and glasses.

Joseph is trying to balance the whole tower on a single round circle - kind of like trying to build a house with a wheel for a base...he better stay in the video store.

Kenney seems to be the only one who made steady progress.  Brooklyn made a run at it late, but Kenney went slow and steady the entire time.  At least as the edit goes, he didn't have all the toppled towers that the rest of them had.  And Kenney wins with only Brooklyn above ground level.

Chelsie is happy for Kenney but isn't happy about needing to nominate yet another houseguest as a replacement.

Angela discovers Quinn outed him to Chelsie.  Angela is "hurt by Quinn" now.

Angela feels that Quinn doesn't trust her.  She's so hurt that she's in tears while explaining how Quinn tattled on her.  I'm not sure how Angela feels like she can continually go off on people and stay in this game.

T'Kor says that it is problematic if you say something like that about a group of black people.  Angela goes full on tantrum because she doesn't want to be accused of being racist.  T'Kor stays with it and gets it said...so Angela goes downstairs and tells each of the black people that she's not racist because she likes all those black people.  LMAO.

They don't hate you because your racist, Angela. They hate you because you're crazy.  I wonder if she'll ever realize the irony of accusing Matt being hurtful now that she's been hurt by someone saying something about her.

I've always said that I like to be entertained and I like houseguests that do things that entertain me.  So, normally I would love the drama.  But I just can't take the constant Angela drama.  It's not even entertaining, mostly because no one yells back.

Angela calls T'Kor into the house because she realized that T'Korr didn't get heard and she wants to make T'Korr know that she should have let T'Korr be heard.

T'Korr appreciates the apology.  Somehow, she thinks Angela is sweet but the house has changed her from the stress.  That seems like an odd conclusion given she's been that way since the first week.

Tucker thinks he's a master detective.  He does correctly surmise that Makensy has a power.  But he goes at it so clumsily and aggressive that he's going to end up being a target.  It somehow works as Makensy outs her power to Tucker.  Silly girl.

Now Tucker thinks she's dumb for falling for his manipulation.  He's kind of right, but he's also kind of abrasive.  He's not my favorite houseguest.

Chelsie thinks outing Makensy's power could be a "boss move" that "builds my resume".  Seems early in the game to think about big moves and resumes.  This early, your resume building is also target building.

It's time for the veto meeting.  In a stunning surprise, Kenney pulls himself off the block!!!  [Who saw that coming?  It was his dramatic pause before he said it that threw us off.]

Tucker gets the seat.  Now, I'm not sure who I want gone more: Angela or Tucker.

  4. Re the updates - lemme tell ya': The FISH are prevalent this season, mostly when Ang is on the screen. I think production knows she is feed gold, so when she goes off on someone (which is often), we get fish. If she goes into storage room - fish. If she approaches someone alone - fish.

  11. This little "look outside" moment was kind of a turmoil. I agree w/Quinn - I thought she said it in a negative way, like "watch out for them". She spun it into a "no, we need to Work with them". PS - Quinn & Angela are not buddies any more.
