Big Brother Watch Party - Sunday September 1st 2024
Who's in charge of the house now?
And we're live on time!!!
We get the usual recap of Tucker's demise.
We pick up "in the aftermath".
This is the most dichotomous eviction of the season. We have absolute devastation from people like Rubina and Joseph. Kimo is down but philosophical about it. Chelsie and Quinn are both crowing in the diary room and both seem to be taking credit for the Tucker eviction. Personally, while it was a good move - made easy by Tucker - I find the dancing on his grave a little off-putting.
We end the first segment with everyone trying to figure out their path forward. For some, it is clearer. For others, they've lost their shield and strongest ally. The HOH may shake things up further.
The HOH comp is the old chicken coop competition. They have to work the egg across the chicken wire (they are inside the wire, the egg is outside). If they successfully get it to the opening, they have to roll it down a moving ramp with obstacles to knock down three letters (H-O-H) Merry Christmas!
In a shocking display of cowardice, Angela doesn't even start the comp for what seems like an hour. The first 3 people to drop an egg are Have-Nots. So Angela chooses to not even try until after the Have-Nots are chosen. Here's hoping she ends up on the block as a result. Didn't she tell us she was going to "fight for her place"? Liar, liar, your pants are on fire and no amount of crying will put them out.
After they all break a bunch of eggs, they finally figure out the movable ramp and start to make progress. It essentially comes down to Makensy, Cam and Quinn who all have knocked down 2 letters.
Quinn wins HOH!!! He then goes on a celebratory romp that I find embarrassing. More strutting than Tucker or a peacock. Anyway...
When Quinn stops dancing, he starts forming yet another alliance. He talks to Chelsie about creating an alliance with T'Kor, Cam and Makensy. He says he's targeting Angela and Rubina because of past bad blood with them and he's trying to reward the people who were "bold" in getting Tucker out. Will it last? Probably not. But it might last until Thursday...maybe...if they're lucky.
Quinn tells everyone, including us, that Angela is 1000% his target this week. He also tells people that he feels he has to put up Rubina because they have a history. He needs a pawn and settles on Kimo. He tells us, not anyone else that we see, that he's not sure he can trust Kimo because of the way Kimo seemed to align with Tucker over Quinn. Kimo is afraid to be a pawn and tries to talk Quinn out of it, but Quinn really doesn't have any better options.
The nominees are Angela, Rubina and Kimo.
We end the show with everyone boasting about winning the Veto. And then T'Kor tells us that she doesn't trust Quinn anymore because he nominated Rubina and Kimo who are two of the people she trusts most. Da da dum...
