Big Brother Watch Party - Sunday September 8th 2024

So, we get the recap.  [Side note: Why doesn't Julie do the voice over?  Can you imagine Jeff Probst not doing the Survivor recap voice over?]

In the aftermath of the Joseph eviction, we have the House of Regrets: 

1. Leah is just shattered.  She wanted Joseph Friendzone to stay but feels that she is the one responsible for his leaving.

2. Makensy and Chelsie had intended to send Kimo home but were swayed by his begging when he claimed that he wants to "represent" queer native Hawaiians.  Kimo, do that by going to medical school not by going on a game show and lying better than other people. 

3. Makensy apologizes to Leah for her flip.  Leah forgives her.

4. Angela apologizes to Kimo for NOT flipping and actually voting to evict him.  She pretends to cry.  He pretends to forgive her.

5. Chelsie apologizes to Cam for flipping.  She knows that evicting Kimo was better for Cam's game.  Cam says very little to Chelsie but is a little mad in the Diary Room.

6. Quinn regrets his whole HOH as it is the second time he was HOH and the second time he lost a "Final Two".  [Quinn, that's what happens when you have a Final Two with EVERYONE!]

The HGs are entertained with a series of "porch cams" showing actors saying silly things.  The only familiar face was Lisa who returned with a bucket of edible glitter.  LOL.

The HOH comp was "Before/After".  They are asked a series of questions about the videos they saw.  They have to answer whether one video was "before or after" another.  The highest score after seven rounds wins!

Angela sucks at the comp.  She gets the first four right but then gets the last three wrong and finishes last. Rubina gets two wrong and finishes second last.  Leah had the first six right but gets the seventh question wrong.  Everyone else was 7 for 7, so we go to overtime with Kimo, Cam, Makensy and Chelsie.

The tie-breaker was a number question: how many seconds were in the "which came first competition?"  They all seem to know that it took over an hour, but their math mostly sucks.  Cam SHOULD HAVE won.  He wanted to answer an hour, but he multiplied 60x60 and got 36,000.  Makensy was at over 5000 seconds, Kimo somehow got to 12,000 seconds.  Chelsie intentionally stayed under an hour so as not to go over and wins with 2800 seconds.  The correct answer was 4211 seconds.  [Cam, Cam, Cam...]

CHELSIE IS THE NEW HOH!!!

Chelsie has a friendly conversation with Quinn and they seem to be good.

Angela wants to talk to Chelsie but is afraid.  She tries to get Cam to do it for her, but he tells her to just go and talk to Chelsie.  Angela decides he's not going to say anything but wanders around the kitchen stressing over talking to Chelsie.  Finally, Chelsie goes and asks Angela to talk to put them both out of their misery.

Angela tells Chelsie not to do the easy thing.  She tells Chelsie that she'll protect her.  She tells Chelsie that it is hard to be a target since Day One...she seems to have forgotten her HOH.  LOL.  Chelsie doesn't seem to be willing to promise her safety, so Angela cries.  And she cries.  And she tells Chelsie, "Fine, nominate me.  I'll win the Veto.  I've done hard things before."

When she leaves, Chelsie says out loud, "if that doesn't give me a headache...."  LOL

Angela has been mean to multiple people.  Angela has back-stabbed her allies.  Angela cries.  Angela yells.  Angela gives everyone a headache.  Yet, they continue to protect her for some odd reason.  I would have evicted her just to make the house a less difficult place to live.

Chelsie wants to talk to T'Kor who increasingly seems to be quietly running the game.  T'Kor agrees to allow Kimo to be a pawn.

Chelsie talks to Kimo who agrees to be a pawn.  But she promises that he isn't the target.  I'm not sure why anyone ever cares what the HOH says.  The HOH doesn't vote and can't really control the vote.  Look at what happened last week.

Chelsie then talks to Leah.  She says that Leah is close to everyone so Leah is loyal to no one.  Personally, I think she's mostly still mad that Leah flirts with Cam.

Chelsie then talks with Cam and she is totally SHE HULK.  She tells him that she thinks he would keep Makensy and Leah over her (Chelsie).  He tells her she's tripping.  He says he knows that Leah is out for Leah and there's no way he would keep her over Chelsie.  Personally, I believe him.

In the Diary Room, Cam tells us that he can't believe she doubts his loyalty.  He also tells us that after she flipped on him last week and put him in a bad position, he should be the one questioning her.

Chelsie is, oddly, letting her jealousy affect her game play even though she and Cam are just friends.  Methinks there is more going on there than she admits to us or herself.  

Chelsie nominates Angela and Kimo.  She tells the HGs that it's just a game and she wants them to be able to play for POV and she loves them both.  I wouldn't find that soothing because it means you want me to go home but just don't want to backdoor me.  She provides no rationale for why this is good for her game.  

We are told to return Wednesday for OTEV.
