 Who will come out and play tonight

 It's another Sunday night which means it's time for BIIGGGGGGGGGG BROTHER...  But they insist on starting late so I never stay awake until the end... We get to see the end of the HOH competition that started live on Thursday. Angela talks to herself constantly.  That alone I would find intolerable when I'm trying to concentrate on a competition. They are stacking candy as carefully as they can and then decide when to lock in before the clock expires or the candy tower falls over. AI Brat tells us that the top 3 are, in no particular order, Angela, Rubina and Makensy.  As Leah put it, one from each of the 3 groups still in the house.  She really needs Angela to win.  So...Angela finishes 3rd.   Rubina is standing next to Makensy and looks like her daughter.  In her words, it is the "tallest in the house against the smallest".  Does Rubina ever not mention her height? In the end, MAKENSY IS THE NEW HEAD OF HOUSE!

 Time to send someone else home.

 According to CBS, due to NFL overruns, Big Brother won't be starting until 9:30 pm in the East Coast. I'm pretty sure I won't make it till the end.  Lol Recap: Angela is in. Quinn is out.  Ainsley is our and her busted protege is in.  Crazy ass Angela is running around aggravating everyone while trying to apologize for voting to evict Kimo. Crazy ass Jankie, the new baby AI, asks the HGs to go into the yard.  They find it set up as a giant carnival.  Jankie tells them it is going to be a while week of games and carnival food.  Half of them are excited but the other half, especially Chelsie and Angela, are suspicious.  Suspicion turns out to be the correct posture as they get locked out of the house and into the yard.  The HOH comp is an endurance comp. They have to hold a giant fake marshmallow pressed against a plate using a giant stick. After 2-1/2 his, the Final 4 are Leah. Cam, Rubina and (shockingly) Angela. Angela tries to negotiate safety.  Ugh...what can go wrong next? Everyone is insecure.  Everyone wants to win the veto. We await the arrival of OTEV. Chelsie pulls Quinn's chip.  He's, of course, SUPER EXCITED AND CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY BECAUSE HE REALLY REALLY HAS PURE SUGAR RUNNING THROUGH HIS VEINS AND HE REALLY REALLY WANTS TO SECURE LEAH AND HIMSELF EVEN THOUGH SHE TOTALLY DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT HIM...phew Angela pulls Makensy's chip.  She really wants Makensy because she thinks Makensy might save her and doesn't think Leah would do it a second time. Kimo pulls Rubina's chip.  Rubina would like to save Kimo but she also doesn't want to cross Chelsie. Going into the comp, all three POV choices want to keep the noms the same to avoid making waves. The 1st question is which evicted HG didn't play in the first round of the first HOH.  Everyone says Tucker and the search is on... In an upset, Angela is one of the first back with an answer.  And SHE'S SO PROUD OF HERSELF...being ol

So, we get the recap.  [Side note: Why doesn't Julie do the voice over?  Can you imagine Jeff Probst not doing the Survivor recap voice over?] In the aftermath of the Joseph eviction, we have the House of Regrets:  1. Leah is just shattered.  She wanted Joseph Friendzone to stay but feels that she is the one responsible for his leaving. 2. Makensy and Chelsie had intended to send Kimo home but were swayed by his begging when he claimed that he wants to "represent" queer native Hawaiians.  Kimo, do that by going to medical school not by going on a game show and lying better than other people.  3. Makensy apologizes to Leah for her flip.  Leah forgives her. 4. Angela apologizes to Kimo for NOT flipping and actually voting to evict him.  She pretends to cry.  He pretends to forgive her. 5. Chelsie apologizes to Cam for flipping.  She knows that evicting Kimo was better for Cam's game.  Cam says very little to Chelsie but is a little mad in the D

 Watch Leah finish destroying Quinn's game. Quinn let Leah sink his game without even pretending to flirt with him.  Just watching him act the fool has me considering gender reassignment surgery. Angela sees Leah as a daughter.  Should be about 6 minutes before she gives Leah the Tucker treatment and calls her a snake or a Jezebel or something untoward. I don't know what's harder to watch: Leah remove Quinn's manhood or Angela remove Joseph's manhood.  You may recall that Joseph sort of laughed at Angela yesterday saying that he was surprised she was still here.  Now, he's forced to eat a big giant over-cooked crow and apologize to Angela in hopes she won't vote him out.  Joseph assures us he's "man enough to admit he was wrong".  I'm pretty sure he wouldn't think he was wrong if he wasn't on the block. T'Kor is hoping that Rubina or Kimo win the AI arena and then the winner can join with her to try and save the other.  Of cours

 The game continues. We get the recap.  Quinn is still HOH.  Rubina, Kimo and Angela are still nominees.  T'Kor is still mad that Quinn nominated Kimo.  Angela is still crying! Yay! We're all caught up. Angela tries to apologize to Quinn.  He says he's not mad to her, and then tells us he really isn't mad but still wants her out. Joseph gets put in the Friend Zone by Leah.  Thank God.  That's a horrible couple.  Actually, any woman makes a horrible couple with that moustache. Leah feels that Angela is misunderstood.  Angela gives a tearful diary room extolling Leah's virtues.  It's a Leah love fest tonight. Time for the Veto! Angela picks Joseph for the veto as her choice when her chip gets pulled.  Leah briefly celebrates "dodging a bullet".  Then Quinn pulls Leah's name out of the hat and she's into the game.  She tells us in the DR that at least she could decide who is good for her game if she wins the Veto.  Who's in charge of the house now? And we're live on time!!! We get the usual recap of Tucker's demise. We pick up "in the aftermath". This is the most dichotomous eviction of the season.  We have absolute devastation from people like Rubina and Joseph.  Kimo is down but philosophical about it.  Chelsie and Quinn are both crowing in the diary room and both seem to be taking credit for the Tucker eviction.  Personally, while it was a good move - made easy by Tucker - I find the dancing on his grave a little off-putting. We end the first segment with everyone trying to figure out their path forward.  For some, it is clearer.  For others, they've lost their shield and strongest ally.  The HOH may shake things up further. The HOH comp is the old chicken coop competition.  They have to work the egg across the chicken wire (they are inside the wire, the egg is outside).  If they successfully get it to the opening, they have to roll it down a moving ramp with obstacl

 Who will get booted tonight? And we're LIVE!!! The announcer points out that Angela actually did more instigating than Tucker who was the official AI Instigator. We return to the end of the Veto Meeting for TEARS!  (Guess who...) Tucker is upset with T'Kor for not consulting him about the Angela decision after he gave her $5000 during the veto comp. Angela gives a speech about how unique Tucker is and exposes their conversations.  She claims to have played the "most honest game".  Yes, if honest is a synonym for emotional and bat shit crazy. She calls out Quinn for exposes Angela's conversation with him about booting Tucker. She starts emotional but calm and then becomes very bitter and angry as her speech goes on. Angela essentially exposes 6th Avenue which earns her exactly zero friends or allies. She's really not good at this game. Tucker continues to mostly just instigate Rubina this week.  He tells her he's trying to decide "if this is real"

 We get our usual recap.  Bottom line: Tucker, Makensy and Cam are on the block. Oh, and it's a SPECIAL 2 HOUR BIG BROTHER!  [I'm not going to make it.  I have things to do.] Makensy tells us she's going "to go out there and win the veto..."  Makensy, I love you.  But you are on the block almost every week.  Every week you tell us you're going to win the veto.  And you never win anything.

CBS.com says 9:30 p.m. EDT When last we met, Brooklyn was ejected and The Pentagon was in tatters.  Thank God there are 37 other alliances to keep everyone safe    in jeopardy. Absolutely EVERYONE tells us how important this HOH is to them.   Makensy has no alliances...how is that possible in the House of Many Alliances?  Then again, I'm the only one here at the Watch Party.  Shout out to Makensy: do you want to be my friend?  Oh, wait, it's Leah who likes the Dad bods.  HEY LEAH, marry me! The HOH comp is called "strange sounds".  The HGs watch videos with enhanced sounds: someone shaving, someone crunching a chip, someone brushing their teeth, etc.  They then answer a bunch of True/False questions related to the videos. It goes very quickly with people dropping out from the very firs

 Will Quinn and Tucker become the Dynamic Duo?  If they do, which one is Batman and which one is Robin?   Julie and the Announcer make fun of The Pentagon.  Julie reminds us that they were "once a power alliance" but after tonight "all they'll be is one member fewer". We then get the recap where we see, again, what we saw last night.  Net result: Cam, Chelsie and Brooklyn are on the block. And now we're live with Julie.  "It is Day 38..."  Tucker has 6 victories in the last 10 comps he entered. The BB AAI Arena is, however, beyond Tucker's control.  After Tucker "blew up another Veto meeting..." it left the three nominees "scrambling to save their games". Tucker manages to tell us what he's thinking without strutting.  He must be sick. Chelsie campaigns with Quinn.  Quinn makes nice but says he's afraid of her coming after him.  I'll try to live stream it, but it will be a little awkward tonight. When last we met, The Pentagon was being decimated by The Assassins turning on them to form the Tanks which then became Sixth Avenue. Tucker had nominated 3 of the 4 remaining Pentagon members: Quinn, Cam and Brooklyn.  He assured us that he was actually going after Brooklyn even though, oddly, Brooklyn was the only one who told him the truth in their one-on-one meetings. We are promised a "another SHOCKING VETO MEETING..."  We'll see. Tucker has assured Quinn that he is not the target.  He tells us in the DR that he wants to keep Quinn, maybe save him with the veto, in hopes that Quinn won't try to backdoor him later.  Quinn correctly surmises that if he actually isn't the target, that Brooklyn probably is. Angela is mad at Brooklyn.  Angela is a Have Not due to being 2nd off the wall.  Brooklyn decided she would take the opportunity to eat Angela's charcuterie HOH tray from last week. 

 More shenanigans in the House that Never Sleeps... We're actually on time this week!  Thank you CBS.  Some of us like to get to bed at a reasonable time. Previously on BB...Quinn had the power for the week.  [That didn't go well...] We get all the Tucker highlights and watch the Pentagon collapse which causes the Collective to collapse which...gives Tucker a clear path to the Final 2???? We watch T'Kor and Kimo blow up their alliance and "flip the house". Cedric goes bye-bye again... Tonight we see "the chaos" that ensued after Cedric's eviction.  We also have an HOH and a nominations ceremony.  We shouldn't be bored for the next hour. Quinn is in tears right after Cedric leaves.  Quinn feels responsible for blowing up the Collective and sending Cedric home. Brooklyn says she looks bad because T'Kor and Kimo are "playing both sides of the house".  We see a replay of Brooklyn telling Rubina that the house is voting her out.  Poor Br

 Time to cull the herd... And WE'RE LIVE for the eviction. We get the obligatory summary of the week.  End result: Makensy, Rubina, and Cedric are currently on the block...and Tucker is still a cocky ass.  ;) We have the "AI Arena" coming up.  And don't forget, we have the "AI Instigator" twist to be announced. It's Day 31...where does the time go? The 8 person "Collective" could run the House, Julie tells us.  But are they really together, she asks. Quinn doesn't want to flip on the Collective until Tucker is gone.  Kimo, on the other hand, thinks he's at the bottom of the alliance and considers the advantage of flipping on Cedric to weaken the Collective. Tucker and Kimo are coaching Rubina.  Rubina thinks she has an alliance with T'Kor, Brooklyn, Kimo and Tucker in the "Five Pointz" alliance.  Of course, that alliance also overlaps The Collective and The Visionaries and The Pentagon.  [I still need a storyboard.] Angela

We get the update.  It's all about Quinn's power and Tucker's agitating...which admittedly is the biggest dynamic lately. Angela wins her SECOND HOH!!!  AND SHE'S SO EXCITED!!! Silly Cedric volunteers to go on the block even though he doesn't want to be a pawn...then don't do it. We have the "deep fake" Angela.  That's really not much of a fake out when everyone knows it's not actually her. TONIGHT, the Power of Veto is on the line and TUCKER IS (allegedly) ON THE LINE! I kind of want Tucker to go this week.  He's just been way too cocky.  On the other hand, the rest of them are pretty boring at this point.  So....I really don't care.  LOL.  There's a new HOH in town...Cedric. Quinn celebrates being temporarily in 1st place - not a good look Quinn. He keeps dancing during everyone else's run.  Really not a good look, especially since he didn't win.

 Eviction night! The updates are all about Tucker hating Lisa and Angela bringing drama.  If the Diary Room ever tries to manipulate a vote, I bet they want Angela to stay.  What would they do without her? Angela thinks threatening drama if she leaves will allow her to stay???  She's not only pscho, she's a moron. Angela mocks Lisa's walk.  She's kind of mean in addition to being unbalanced and dramatic.  I thought they did psych evaluations on the houseguests. The houseguests seem to want both Lisa and Angela gone.  Somehow, I don't see the equivalence. Lisa is flaky and you might find her annoying, but she's not a toxic viper who might go off on you at any point and try to blow up your game.   Sometimes, it is helpful to keep a hated houseguest around to deflect attention.  But in the case of Angela, it's like keeping a cocked gun on the coffee table. The AI challenge is a 3-D puzzle game.  All 3 houseguests are making little progress early.  Tucker then q

 Last day of July... Angela, Angela, Angela...GROW THE HELL UP! Lisa, Angela and Kenney are on the block because "they are the people the house cares about the least."  Ouch, that hurts. Lisa is a salmon swimming upstream. She's not surprised to be on the block. Kenney feels good because he's up against two hated people in Lisa and Angela. Angela feels she got nominated because it was easy.  She admits to getting a little "cray, cray" in the house.  But she's going to get the veto...or so she says. Makensy wants payback and wants Angela gone. On a side note, I saw an interview with Matt where he said he's waiting for Makensy to get out of the house so he can maybe continue his journey with her.  I'm cheering for those crazy kids. Tucker can't remember the name of his alliance ("The Andersons") with Quinn and two others.  Of course, Quinn has like three other alliances.  At some point, this is likely to blow up on him.  He claims tha

 And it's our second Sunday night together... We start with the aftermath. Angela does her diary room victory lap.  Does she know that no one trusts her anymore? There's pigs in the HOH competition...but Angela can't play. We have a bunch of internet funny animal videos and then a bunch of questions about details of the videos. Some people (Cedric, e.g.) are claiming in the Diary Room that they threw the comp because they don't want "blood on their hands".  That's a strategy.  But I'm really not sure why anyone thinks floating is a good idea these days.  The HGs seem more aggressive than they used to be in the old days.

Kenney is her main target, however, because the old guy is such a fierce competitor...I don't see it.  The old dude won't be able to bond so easily with the young guys and girls.  The generation gap is real! So many week 1 tears.  They are sooo emotionally fragile.  I'm not sure telling Lisa that she's NOT A THREAT is going to improve Angela's relationship with her.  You're weak and I nominated you, let's be friends!!!!  YAY!!!!!!!!!! Angela is now mad at Matt because he didn't hug her.  Are we sure Angela is really the mature adult mom that she claims to be?  Here we go again... Chelsie and Cedric were downgraded. Makensy and Quinn were upgraded.  Tonight we'll learn what the upgrade is. We have a round of VERY EXCITED INTRODUCTIONS! Here comes Ainsley, asking for Have-Not volunteers: Tucker, Cam, Kimo and Quinn jump right in and volunteer.  Has volunteering ever helped anyone's game? Matt and Kenney are bonding.  But they have so much in common, Matt will definitely figure out the lie. And, of course, we're going to try and have a women's alliance already.  Angela also seems to be playing too hard too early.  She's being abrasive as well.  I smell a melt down at some point. Who the hell brings edible glitter? Makensy gets "America's veto" which is a regular veto but then America gets to pick the replacement.  Interestingly, the replacement will only find out on eviction night.  That could be awkward. Quinn from Omaha...big hair.  World record for standing on one foot while blind-folded.  His parents are very proud...???  He's 5'6".  It's the little people season. Brooklyn is a married mom of 3 and a pageant coach.  Former Mrs. America.  She's also Native American.  She's a superfan.   Matt is a software sales exec from Georgia.  He's a self-proclaimed Urban Cowboy.  He's very family oriented.  Philippino mom.  He's "very single" and wants to hook up in the House. Lisa is a "celebrity chef" - does that mean she's supposed to be famous or flips burgers for celebrities?  She calls herself a "vibe curator".  This continues the Big Brother tradition of egomaniacs and Narcissists.  It won't be the same without Jackie's summaries. But we can still hang out.  And there's the age-less Julie, telling newbies how the game works....
